In the announcement of the release of upcoming movie, ‘Mero Valentine’ actress Nisha Adhikari explains why the movie is bound to be successful. She was talking in a press meet program held on July 22.

In the address to the journalists Nisha told that this movie has given a feeling that it would be as successful as her previous movie ‘First Love’. Nisha told she editors have ruthlessly removed the unnecessary scenes. Nisha compared the movie with ‘Soongava’ in which only the appropriate scenes were included in the movie. The film team had also taken extra footage to add for making some of the scenes interesting.
Nisha told that working with the director Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ was a very good experience. The movie was shot two years ago but the release date has recently been confirmed to be on Shrawan 16.
In the program the producer of the movie Sushil Shrestha told that the release wad delayed because of technical problem. Except Nisha, other artists and the director weren’t present in the press meet. Director Suraj Subba is currently in Israel. The artists Babu Bogati, Swatantra Pratap Shah and Sushmita Dhakal were also not in Kathmandu on that date.
Two new movies of actress Namrata Shrestha, ‘Sambodhan’ and ‘Tandav’ are releasing on the same day, August 1, 2014. We don’t know the exact reason of such a blunder clash, but it is easy to guess that it is some sort of a clash of ego.

Releasing two movies of the same actress on the same day doesn’t make any business sense. That too, when most of the Nepali movies have been unsuccessful in recent days. During the press meet of one of the movies ‘Sambodhan’ Namrata confirmed that the movies are releasing on the same day. She told she would spend fifty percent of her promotion time on each movie (see attached video).
We don’t know which movie her fans would like to watch. Researches show, when there are more than one options, people don’t make decisions – that is, they don’t choose any of the. Does that mean, there will less number of Namrata’s fan watching either of the movies? We will surely get the answer in a week!
Is Nepali movie industry an industry?
An industry is a profit making entity. More than 90 percent of Nepali movies aren’t making any money. That means:
Nepali movie industry is not an industry at all because, it doesn’t have business sense. That is why producers ask viewers to go and watch their movie simply because it is a Nepali movie. They think, Nepali viewers should not watch Nepali movies to enjoy but, only to support the Nepali producers.
The director of upcoming movie ‘Kohinoor’, Aakash Adhikari cried during a press meet to talk about the movie. He couldn’t control himself when he remembered the producer and the lead actor of the movie Shree Krishna Shrestha, who fell sick in his honeymoon.

Many have suspected that Shree Krishna might be in serious condition based on the reaction of Aakash. But, he has also told that Shree will be back for the promotion of the movie in a week.
Shree Krishna’s wife and the lead actress of ‘Kohinoor’ Sweta Khadka is with the actor to take care of him. Last week, Sweta had confirmed the sickness in a Facebook post. In a rumor report, Shree’s family members are also not aware where he is being treated. It is reported that the actor is being treated in Thailand or in Delhi.
‘Kohinoor’ is scheduled to release on August 8.
Sweta and Shree Krishna got married on July 7. They had been having affair since Sweta debuted in Shree Krishna’s movie ‘Kaha Bhetiyala’ although they kept on denying the affair.
The sequel movie of ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ named ‘Nai Nabhannu La 2′ is releasing on Chitra 29 (April 11, 2014). On April 3, a press meet was organized in Kathmandu to disseminate the information about the movie and the cast and crew. In the press meet, actress Priyanka Karki introduced the cast and crew of the movie.

In the movie made on the story and direction of Bikash Acharya, actress Priyanka Karki is featured as a mother of the lead child character. The movie features two child characters – a 6-years-old Anubhav Regmi and Sugyani Bhattarai in lead roles. The movie also features the songs of a 12-years-old child singer Prem Pariyar.
In the press meet, Anubhav, Sugyani and all the characters in the movie spoke about their roles. Speaking at the event, the writer and director Bikash Acharya told that the pre-release songs or trailer don’t tell the real story and the audience should wait till the movie releases to know the real story.
Actor Jiwan Luitel told that his role is to appear in flashback as and when the story demand. The comedy actor, Sitaram Kattel told that his role is quite different from the ones the viewers are used to in his serials. Actress Barsha Siwakoti is debuting as an actress in the movie.
Although everybody talked a little about their roles, nobody told anything about what their roles are in the movie. They tried to keep the story a secret.
According to a report in an online magazine, Chhabi Raj Ojha is going to produce a movie titled ‘Hawaldar Suntali’. Chhabi is hopeful to feature his ex-wife Rekha Thapa in the leading role if she agrees. The movie to be made on an action story fits the character Rekha prefers to do in movies.
Chhabi has chosen Rishi Lamichane to direct the new movie. Rishi is told to be in good terms with Rekha, so he is talking with the actress about her role in the movie and mend relationship with Chhabi.
The censor board is studying the script to give a green signal to the movie. Shivam Adhikari is writing the script and Deepak Sharma is going to compose the music of the movie.
Rekha is currently busy in the shooting of her upcoming movie ‘Himmatwali’. She has taken over the role of the director after removing him from the location. Rekha had tactfully used the director Shyam Bhattarai to shot the tough climax scenes and let him go to take over the director’s role.
The movie will go ahead even if Rekha refused to do the role. If Rekha is not available, Chhabi will feature either Shilpa Pokharel or any other new actresses as Suntali.
Nepali actress, Usha Poudel, is going to debut in a Bollywood movie ‘Sun Ladki’. The actress who started as a television actress in Nepal and was featured in Nepali movies like ‘Muna Madan’ was struggling in Mumbai for last few years.
The pre-production of ‘Sun Ladki’ has completed and is going to floor soon. In the movie, Usha’s role will not be the leading actress but next to the leading one. If the movie becomes successful, there is a high chance that Usha might establish herself as a Bollywood star. The rumor about Usha doing the Bollywood the movie started last year.
In her Mumbai stay, Usha had established herself in small screen by doing some well known serials. Usha was featured in high budget Hindi television serials like ‘Jaya Shanidev’, ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Bajaranga Bali’, and ‘Bishnu Puran’. She was also featured in serials ‘Chintu Chinki aur Ek Badhi Si Love Story’, ‘Adalat’, ‘Fair Files’, and ‘Tujsangh Preet Lagai Sajana’. Usha is known by her real name – Rukmini in Mumbai. While Usha is filmy name in Nepali film industry, Rukmini Kumari Poudel is the real name of the actress.
After debuting in ‘Muna Madha’, the Nepali movies featuring Usha Poudel include Palpalma, Badmas, Nepali Bir, Baaji, Dhamaka, Mahan, Chor Sipahi, Rajya, Maya Nagara, Bharosha and others. Usha had gone to India in 2010 and was helped by Indian actor Rahul Roy in the initial days. There was a rumor of an affair of Usha with the actor at that time.
According to a report, before jumping into acting, Usha was a dancer in Show Palace Dance Bar in Durbar Marg.

Item dancer Archana Dellala to be featured in Bengali movie
Popular item dancer of Nepali movies, Archana Dellala, is going to be featured in a Bengali movie. The movie titled, ‘Sada Kalo Akasher Canvase’ will feature Archana in lead roles. In a press meet held in Kathmandu on February 2, the director Tanvin Rafik told that he has seen the talent in Archana for the role.
The movie, named ‘Mayako Parichaya’ in Nepali language, will be shot mostly in Nepal. After the completion of 60 percent shooting in Nepal, remaining part will be shot in Bangladesh.
Once again, Rajesh Hamal marriage has been delayed. In a latest report, Rajesh told that his marriage is postponed for now. A while ago, Rajesh had told that the marriage will be held in February – March of 2014 (watch the attached video).
Initially, Rajesh had wanted to get married in 2010. Due to various reasons, the marriage had been delayed multiple times. Last year, Rajesh had told that he will not delay more than the winter. But, when his family member couldn’t gather in Kathmandu in the Feb/March schedule, he has to delay the marriage again.
A movie featuring the romance of Jharana Thapa and Suman Singh, ‘Premika’ is going to release on February 28, 2014. The love story movie directed by Ramji Lamichane received an ‘U’ certificate from the Censor Board.
With Jharana and Suman, the movie also features Sushil Pokharel in leading role. The movie features the thrills of Roshan Shrestha, music of Dinesh Sunam and cinematography of Durga Paudel. Other backstage artists include – Banish Shah in editing, Sushil Pokharel in script writing, Alish Karki in background score. The movie is produced under the banner of Shuva Shanti Films.
